Wen Wan has a life-threatening condition that can make her go into heat at any time. Believing marriage might cure her strange illness, she goes along with her family's arrangement for a marriage alliance.
But after the wedding, her wife is cold and distant. Three years into the marriage, her illness has only grown worse.
That day, after her sister-in-law once again belittles her until she is worth less than dirt, she leaves with Wen Wan's wife and does not come home all night.
Wen Wan flees alone to a quiet bar and drinks one glass after another.
The bartender beside her reaches out to stop her.
She looks up at the bartender's breathtakingly beautiful face. Her throat goes dry, and, as if bewitched, she leans in and presses her lips to the woman's.
She chalks up the reckless night to the alcohol.
But who could have guessed that a week later, the group's most powerful executive would arrive out of nowhere as her new boss, and that it would be the woman she had forced a kiss on that night: Bo Anci.
Bo Anci is cold to the bone and decisive in her ruthlessness. No one in their circles dares to provoke her.
And Wen Wan had forced a kiss on someone like that...
Wen Wan shudders and immediately hands in her resignation, only to be transferred to Bo Anci's side as her round-the-clock personal assistant.
From then on, she works overtime day and night, and her illness follows her like a shadow.
One night at midnight, after being tormented by her sister-in-law, she is ordered to go to President Bo's home to fetch some documents. She has not had time to take her medicine when the strange illness strikes. Unable to control herself, she clutches the silk pajamas in the study and presses them against her burning face, neck, and chest...
When she comes to her senses, Wen Wan turns and finds Bo Anci leaning against the doorway, arms folded. She has no idea how long the woman has been watching.
Frightened, exhilarated, and mortified, Wen Wan stammers out an explanation of her illness. Bo Anci says nothing. Wen Wan thinks this cold-faced grim reaper is about to strangle her.
But the ice on that mountainlike face softens ever so slightly.
"Beg me," Bo Anci says. "And I'll help cure you."
Later, Wen Wan regrets countless times ever having gotten involved with her.
In the CEO's office, in the car driving her home, beside her wife's pillow, this woman is always "treating" her illness. In tears, Wen Wan begs for mercy: "I can't, President Bo. I have a wife..."
But Bo Anci laughs brazenly. "Then wake her up and let her see how her wife is being taken by another woman."
Wen Wan is tormented until tears stream down her face. A lunatic. She's a lunatic.
But this very lunatic eventually cures her illness, and never leaves her side.
Note: They never registered their marriage; it is a fake marriage. Wen Wan just doesn't know.
