Yan Mo x Shang Luhe
Sweet, sensitive, insecure 1 x beautiful, aloof, sharp-tongued 0
Yan Mo had never had anything in her life.
Then one day, she found an old doll.
The doll had soft little horns and a pink heart at the tip of its tail. Yan Mo tucked it into her arms, took it home, and washed it clean, cherishing it like a treasure.
Whenever she was upset, she hugged the doll and cried. Before bed, she'd give it a gentle kiss and say good night. When she was happy, she'd squeeze its adorable heart-shaped tail. Every thought she had that no one else would listen to, she told the silent doll.
Just before graduation, she moved into a shared apartment and met the most difficult roommate in the whole city.
Her roommate used a wheelchair. She looked frail and was breathtakingly beautiful, but had a terrible temper and a tongue sharp enough to kill.
But little by little, Yan Mo noticed something strange.
This cold roommate smelled exactly like the doll she loved most.
She was stunned for a long time, then laughed at herself for imagining things. It was the age of science, after all.
But the strange things kept happening.
Why did she hear ragged breathing from next door whenever she hugged the doll to sleep?
Why did her roommate always turn bright red and flee to the bathroom, flushed and feverish, whenever Yan Mo cried into the doll?
Why did her roommate nearly fall out of her wheelchair just because Yan Mo squeezed the doll's tail?
The truth was practically staring her in the face.
Frightened and distressed, Yan Mo stopped daring to touch her doll so carelessly.
After agonizing over it for a long time, she finally made up her mind to return the doll to her roommate and put an end to their strange connection.
But when she opened the door, she saw only the dimly lit living room.
Her aloof, sharp-tongued roommate stood there with flushed cheeks and a slight tremble in her body. Small black horns had appeared on her head, the wings on her back fluttered softly, and her heart-shaped tail swayed uncontrollably.
Shang Luhe looked up at her, her eyes dewy and alluring. Facing Yan Mo, she gently swished her tail into the shape of a heart.
Yan Mo's mind went blank, and she walked toward her against her will.
One wild night.
The next morning, Yan Mo woke up and rubbed her sore wrists, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Good heavens, is this really the age of science?
