The King's Avatar: Jia Shi's Weightlifting Champion

Original female-character story

An unserious (maybe?) summary:

Xia Yiting was a rookie who wouldn't debut until next season and had never played a single match. No one knew how strong she was, yet Tao Xuan dared to announce at a press conference that the future of Team Excellent Era rested on Xiao Xia's shoulders, and that she would lead them back to the top.

It was no different from what people had said when Sun Xiang joined Excellent Era during last season's winter transfer period. But unlike then, no one at this offline press conference objected. No one could take their eyes off her face; no one could say no to that face.

All they could do, and all they could remember to do, was gaze at that face and pour out the love that had already overflowed within them.

The fans at the venue accepted everything. Online, the fans cursed everything in anger and frustration. They cursed the players and Tao Xuan, indiscriminately lashing out at everyone. They couldn't accept the center of Excellent Era shifting from Battle Mage to an unknown Summoner.

Some people could only watch the matches online and weren't affected by her. They judged her by her match results, not her popularity polls or commercial value. But that didn't stop Xia Yiting from proving with her skill that she truly deserved her place.

"She's the heart of Excellent Era, its one and only heart."

I've never liked having my picture taken, whether I take it myself or someone else does.

I don't like the distorted version of myself in photos, or the dark, damp expressions on people's faces as they stare at me while taking pictures. Those distorted photos are just like the people who have seen me in person. All they have to do is look at me, and their eyes fill with such feverish obsession that they lose their original selves. They're supposed to be human, but they look more like vessels filled with desire.

I hate that, so I don't like love. I hate being loved.

Title: Nate, The Great Ming, 1566

OOC, third-person perspective. Partly an Anko-style story; the plot depends on the dice roller. Contains plenty of one-sided crushes on the protagonist, as well as lots of people throwing themselves at her.

The protagonist is fundamentally nonhuman, but the main story won't explore that further.

Tomie AU. Excellent Era won't compete in the Challenger League in Season 9 and will remain in the league. The championship will be given to Excellent Era, but the team will still disband as usual after Season 9.

I kind of want to see a Summoner become the most popular player and a Tier 0 class (hey). So the character's class has been changed to Summoner.

Theme: Is this the only way to love?
