The Hour of Entropy Reduction

[An ex from college wants to start an office romance with me?]

After years apart, Qiao Shuzhou stood before her, still smiling brightly despite the snow and wind clinging to him. All he said was, "Long time no see."

"Yanwan, don't fidget with your fingers when you're nervous."

Zuo Yanwan looked at the candy in his palm, just like the tangerine candy he'd given her backstage all those years ago.

"Don't be so flirtatious when you talk to your ex."

"The genetic sequencing says our symbiosis is viable."

Zuo Yanwan closed her eyes and heard the amusement in his voice beside her. "Isn't it just like the jasmine and sasanqua camellia we grew in the lab that year? They'd die without each other."

Rain washed the rooftop graffiti into a flowing fluorescent sea, like the shifting light and shadows from years ago.

"Shouldn't we just admit it?"

In a question that blurred the timeline, Zuo Yanwan asked him again, "Admit what?"

"Admit that I like you."

"Admit that you still love me."

"Admit that you're one of the patients, too."

"Admit that we're the cause of each other's illness."

[If death is inevitable, what is love?]

[Love is the instant before heat death, every moment of negentropy.]

A broken mirror put back together, happy ending~~

I take Saturdays off; otherwise, I usually update daily.
