Do Cats Have to Go to Work Too?

The author's a beginner, and this story was written during a workday meltdown. Please don't overthink it while reading. Much appreciated (palms pressed together)

World-weary but stoic, high-combat-power Pallas's cat security guard x Lin Liuying, an aloof-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside diva with a smoky, low voice

[Everyday life of city-dwelling spirits / Workplace survival and angst / Light comedy / Slow-burn sweet romance]

Content warnings: 1v1, both leads' first time. This isn't a women-only world, but the main supporting characters are women. There are lots of characters, and I'm not sure if this will turn into a GL ensemble story.

Quan Jiamiao was a little Pallas's cat spirit, eighteen years old and newly arrived in the human world. Her ideal life as a cat was to be rich without having to work.

Unfortunately, the Spirit Administration didn't see things her way.

To get her permit to live among humans, she worked as a security guard in a luxury villa community during the day, then helped out at her second older sister's pet cafe at night, livestreaming to sell dog food. She had four days off a month and was constantly asked to change shifts. Other people worked to buy houses and cars. She worked to stay alive, save for tuition, and keep herself from spending another three 688-yuan packs on mobile games.

She thought the hardest part of her life would be watching the security cameras and putting up with the smell of dogs throughout the building.

But not long after starting the job, she also ran into Lin Yao, a popular singer who lived in the community.

The woman was cold, quiet, and hard to approach. Quan Jiamiao thought, Surely a huge celebrity like her and a poor little security guard like me would never have anything to do with each other?
