Guardian Characters Unlock in Beika

Xingye Guang, a beautiful 16-year-old high school girl, had just unlocked her Guardian Character, "Xiao Ai," when she accidentally landed in Beika Town.

The System assigned her a mission: spread love throughout this hellhole, where even the Grim Reaper has to queue up to complete his hiring paperwork.

First, she has to help everyone unlock their own Guardian Characters.

One day, at a crime scene in Beika Town:

Sherlock Holmes of the Heisei era had just finished deducing the case when the culprit, ferocious beyond belief, took a child hostage and tried to escape.

Just as the police were at a loss, a sweet voice suddenly rang out from the crowd: "My heart, Unlock!"

After a burst of sparkling pink effects, she charged in, looking as if she'd wandered out of a girl's manga and into a murder scene, shouting about love, justice, and the bonds of friendship.

The culprit dropped to his knees with a thud, weeping with remorse and bowing his head in confession.

The next morning, the great detective lifted his blanket...

And saw a brown egg.

#Eliminate everything impossible, and only one truth remains: he laid an egg#

Another day, a certain part-time work king, who'd been juggling three jobs for ages, finished up for the day:

After writing Poirot's menu for tomorrow, compiling fake intelligence for the Organization, submitting his weekly work report to Public Security, and getting three hours of sleep...

He woke up to find three eggs in his bed.

#Three is the limit for jobs, not for eggs#

Another day... Never mind, let's skip straight to:

Gin woke from a nap and found an extra egg in his bed.

He reached out and crushed the egg with a squelch.

#Pass it on: Gin woke up and crushed his own egg#

Reader's guide:

1. Guardian Characters x Detective Conan. You can follow along even if you haven't read Guardian Characters. The heroine has a Guardian Character and can give them to everyone else too, not just the three mentioned in the blurb.

2. You'll get to see nearly every major Detective Conan character transform with their own Guardian Character, including Gin and the Organization's boss.

3. In this setting, adults can see Guardian Characters too.

4. There really are transformations! But no cross-dressing. Everyone's Guardian Character and transformation abilities suit their character.

5. There'll also be the author's favorite, an over-the-top Mary Sue-style one-sided-love-everyone love polygon, and so on. But unlike my previous stories, there won't be any angsty, gut-wrenching love entanglements. The style makes it clear: this is pure silly fluff.

6. "Laying eggs" does not mean male pregnancy. It's the power of love! A miracle of love!

Theme: Fill the world with love.
