The Slime Is Still Trying Its Best to Feed the Villain Today

0319 is a novice System. It looks like a slime, is obedient, and is even a little dim-witted.

Its first mission is to bind itself to the protagonist group in a certain plane and help them defeat the vicious villainous Boss.

Unfortunately, when it arrives in that plane, its data is damaged and its abilities malfunction. It can't bind itself directly to a Host, so all it can do is wobble around in slime form.

Luckily, it still recognizes the protagonist group:

A bunch of weak, pitiful, very hungry little ones.

A few of the little ones look a bit unusual: their teeth are especially sharp, or little tentacles sometimes poke out from their backs. But they're the protagonist group, after all. Of course they'd have plenty of character.

Thinking this, 0319 diligently and conscientiously gets to work on its mission.

Worried the little ones might not have enough to eat, it works hard to clear the land and plant crops, then fills their bellies with miraculous produce from the fields.

Worried they have nowhere to shelter from the cold, it uses whatever materials are at hand to build a place that keeps out the wind and rain.

Worried they can't read, it tries every way it can think of to hire a teacher. It just doesn't understand why none of the teachers ever stay for long.

With no other choice, 0319 does its best to take human form. Looking like a black-haired boy, it teaches the little ones to identify flowers and plants and draw stick figures.

If it works this hard, the little ones are sure to grow up well and defeat the Bosses, right?

0319 wipes the sweat from its brow and happily dreams about the future.

In the infinite world, there is a forbidden zone.

They say the most cruel and savage Bosses live there.

Even stranger, all those Bosses take orders from a boy who looks no different from an ordinary human.

Once, a challenger wandered into the forbidden zone and was captured by a Boss.

According to the challenger, the boy, who seemed completely harmless, had planted fields full of explosive fruit rated Level 3 in danger, and stocked the pond with giant man-eating frogs. The boy lived in a fortress built from mutated plants. All he had to do was move a finger, and vines tipped with skulls would whirl through the air at his command!

Challenger: Terrifying!

Even more terrifying, the black-haired, black-eyed boy asked, "You're good at math, aren't you? Could you teach the little ones in our family arithmetic?"

The challenger looked at the pack of Bosses behind the boy, grinning with their teeth bared, and fainted on the spot.

As he passed out, he heard the boy call after him, "Oh, if you're not good at math, you could teach them language arts instead!"

What kind of monster among monsters, Boss among Bosses, was this?
