A Million Evacuate Beneath the Wasteland City

Gu Zhen is a veteran player of extraction shooter games.

After a car accident, she wakes up to discover that she has transmigrated into the body of a poor, solitary scavenger in the apocalypse, and has been bound to a treasure-hunting System.

[Ding! You are currently only 500 meters from the nearest resource point!]

Gu Zhen: Going treasure hunting with a System? How is that any different from cheating?

In a wasteland apocalypse, resources are scarce, mutated monsters roam everywhere, the last embers of each nation struggle to survive, and civilization teeters on the brink.

The world of ruins, which opens once a month, has become a resource-scavenging opportunity that every nation eagerly pursues.

Some nations are wiped out entirely and annexed by others, vanishing from the map. Others, though small, find the finest resources and rise to prominence, turning their national fortunes around.

With her treasure-hunting System, Gu Zhen can always find the most valuable treasure in every world of ruins with ease, then successfully evacuate with a million units of resources!

She rises from a down-and-out treasure hunter to head of the nation’s highest-level supplies corps.

Other nations also send her rare treasures, seeking friendly cooperation. All they want is a little information about resources from her before their next expedition.

Later, the United Nations of the Wasteland even erects a monument to her alone. Its inscription reads:

“One million evacuated beneath the Wasteland City,

Civilization saved above the ruins.

[In memory of: Savior of Races and Civilizations | God Who Bestowed Hope and All Things | Pioneer of the New Era | Founder of Order in the Lionheart Empire | Commander-in-Chief of the Battle of the Winter of Dust: Gu Zhen]”

She stands before the monument, the cold wind whipping at the hem of her coat. Flowers and gifts fill the space at its base.

Gu Chen: Even if there’s room for all these people to stand here, I still don’t know what’s gotten into you.

Gu Zhen: I’m not even dead yet. :(
