Chi Che, the eldest young master of the Chi family.
Before he turned six, he got everything he wanted. The good times lasted for six years.
After he turned six, his father adopted a child and told Chi Che to call him his older brother.
Chi Che's life changed completely.
His father was always telling him, "If only you were half as outstanding as your older brother."
Outsiders said, "Fang Qinshi really takes after President Chi."
"The second young master of the Chi family is obviously no match for the eldest."
"President Chi will probably choose the eldest as his successor."
"..."
These words came crashing down on Chi Che like a series of mountains.
He hated comparisons, hated people who compared him to others, and hated the person he was compared to.
After graduating from high school, Chi Che resolutely chose the university farthest from home and cut off all contact with the Chi family.
Having done all that, Chi Che felt refreshed and at ease.
One day, the adopted son his father had brought home came to see him at school.
Chi Che stared at his handsome face and said coolly, "I don't know you."
Fang Qinshi smiled. The Chi family young master was beautiful, and even when he was angry, he was impossible to look away from.
"That's fine. I know you, and that's enough."
Chi Che: "You're annoying."
"Mm, I know."
Chi Che: "..."
Chi Che and Fang Qinshi were impossible to figure out.
The young master turned and walked away.
One day, the young master got himself a contract partner.
The news made its way back to the family.
Then, at midnight one day,
Chi Che returned to his rented apartment and saw someone standing in the corridor. He didn't know how long the other man had been there. His apricot-colored coat was soaked through with rain.
Chi Che frowned. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
The other man lifted his eyes. The corners were bloodshot, and his grip on Chi Che's hand was painfully tight. "Have you still not learned your lesson?"
Chi Che: "?"
Fang Qinshi opened the apartment door and pushed him inside.
Chi Che was even more bewildered. "Don't you have my door code? If you do, why are you standing out there like an idiot?"
The other man didn't answer. He pressed Chi Che's head down and kissed him, only letting go when the taste of blood filled their mouths.
Chi Che turned his head and gasped. "What are you doing?"
Fang Qinshi's lips curled into a smile. His gaze was wild and ruthless. His fingers, red from the cold, brushed over Chi Che's vivid lips as he said, word by word, "I will inherit everything your father owns, including his only son."
Chi Che: "..."
"Chi Chi, say you love me."
