Taming Demons

In her previous life

She was a princess of the Water Tribe, and her mother was a jewel of the Spirit Clan, forced by circumstances to marry into the Water Tribe. Clan traditions and propriety became shackles, crushing her mother's love and bringing about her own death.

As the waters of the Pool of All Life swallowed her and the one she loved, she heard her mother's heart-wrenching cries.

But it was too late.

After a life spent as a prisoner, all she wanted was to be free of the cage in her next life.

In this life

She is reborn as a spirit creature in the Eastern Wilderness, and lives only for herself.

And he, the Crown Prince of the Celestial Clan whom she fished out of a lake, pursues her relentlessly, refusing to give up.

She thinks he is no different from other men: drawn by beauty, then fickle.

But she does not know that he is the trial written into her destiny, a romantic ordeal she is fated to undergo.

He rejects the marriage arranged by the Heavenly Court for her, searches all three realms for medicine for her, and stays by her side when her beauty is destroyed.

And she will finally understand:

In her previous life, she died for propriety. In this life, she lives for true love.

Theme: In this life, live only for yourself.
