The Long Rainy Season

Second-chance romance x reunion after a long separation

Cool and resilient x carefree, cocky bad boy

Jiang Nuo first met Sheng Jingbai at her roommate's cousin's birthday party.

Even though it was someone else's party, he was still the one surrounded by people.

She, meanwhile, was the kind of person people could easily overlook.

After a couple of extra drinks, Jiang Nuo went out to the terrace for some air and accidentally stumbled upon a girl's confession.

She hid herself in the darkness, hoping no one would notice her.

After the girl left, she listened to the approaching footsteps and watched a foot stop not far from her.

She heard him ask, "You're Jiang Nuo? The Nuo in 'a promise is worth a thousand pieces of gold'?"

Then he gave a drunken-sounding sneer. "You're a liar, all right."

Years later, they reunited at a welcome reception.

Sheng Jingbai was easygoing with everyone, but he was cold toward Teacher Jiang Nuo, the most popular teacher at the school.

The principal had been about to ask Jiang Nuo if she'd offended Sheng Jingbai, so they could figure out how to handle it.

Then Sheng Jingbai's car pulled up downstairs, and the principal overheard their conversation around the corner.

"Didn't we already break up? Can you at least be a decent ex?"

"You're the one who said we were breaking up. I never agreed."
