The Great Demoness Is Maxed Out on Cuteness

Xiu Qingchang took in a disciple.

Someone prophesied that this disciple would grow up to become a great demon who would bring disaster to the land.

But he couldn't bear to see a promising talent wasted over an unfounded claim.

So he made a promise: if he failed to teach her well, he would submit himself to punishment and let his soul be destroyed.

Yu Ningyuan had extraordinary talent, but because of the prophecy, nobody was willing to take her as a disciple.

Except Xiu Qingchang. His teaching philosophy was simple: Heaven rewards diligence.

Yu Ningyuan had to practice swordsmanship before the rooster crowed, and draw talismans long after even the dogs had gone to sleep.

Yu Ningyuan went to complain to him, but when she saw his expression, she could only speak timidly. "Master..."

Xiu Qingchang's icy expression cracked. "What is it?"

She said miserably, "I'm so tired from not getting enough sleep every day that I can't think straight."

Xiu Qingchang: "...Then you can get up half an hour later during the day."

After getting her way, Yu Ningyuan realized the key: her master was afraid of her acting cute.

Yu Ningyuan tried the same trick again. "Master... If I stay up so late, I won't grow any taller."

Seeing her pout, Xiu Qingchang couldn't refuse. "Then go to bed half an hour earlier."

With her cuteness turned up to the max, Yu Ningyuan managed to slack off plenty.

Even so, she still took first place in the immortal sect tournament.

But Yu Ningyuan still fell to the demonic path.

She stormed back into the immortal sect, unstoppable.

Amid the terrified stares of the crowd, the demon who had struck fear into the immortal sect was simply clinging to Xiu Qingchang's shoulder and crying.

She said miserably, "Master, I only have you."

"I've fallen to the demonic path. What if I can't control myself?"

"If you don't guide me, how am I supposed to walk the road ahead alone?"
