Bethany was the youngest and most beloved daughter of the Holmes family in the 19th century. One moment, she was at home conducting an experiment on the effects maggots have on corpses; the next, she had suddenly arrived in 21st-century Baker Street, at 221B.
The house was still hers, but the decor and furnishings had changed completely.
Worse still, a man suddenly emerged from the living room. He was bare-chested, his body covered in lean muscle. He was dragging a blood-soaked, half-dead person with his left hand, while the gun in his right hand was still smoking.
A few drops of blood had even spattered across his face, making him look all the more bloodthirsty and handsome.
Bethany didn't know him, so she threw the white maggots in her hand at him.
"Oh, you must be my fiancee, whom I've never met. Is this a welcome gift?" He nimbly dodged the maggots and sauntered over with a faint smile. "Though hot food would be even better."
Bethany: ...Let's talk this out. Put the gun you've got pressed to my temple away first!

And so, for no apparent reason, Bethany was forced to accept having a fiance, and had to share the 221B that should have been hers alone!
Her fiance, Damian, claimed to be a director who loved making crime-action films. He said that the bloody man and the gun she'd seen that day were both props, and told her not to take them seriously.
His work hours were irregular, so he told her to make herself at home.
But he seemed to love her cooking, and ate every meal at home:
For breakfast, he had river worms soaked in coffee, bread dipped in blood, moldy fertilized eggs, and baguettes as hard as a human leg bone.
His partner Watson exclaimed when he saw the food: "Oh, Miss Bethany, you're a marvelous cook!"
For lunch, they had instant noodles with pig's eyes. She accidentally tossed a severed finger into the borscht, and he calmly fished it out and put it in a jar of formalin. "Darling, you have such a variety of ingredients to cook with."
Watson: What kind of weird couple's game are you two playing...
As for dinner, she usually threw something together. She was busy investigating cases and had no time to wait on this strange husband, so she could only knock him out before heading out.
Her life was exciting: researching all kinds of ingredients at home by day and taking on cases by night. She was more than happy with it.
That is, until one night at a crime scene, she saw her husband, who should have been sleeping soundly, holding a skull and standing on top of a lizard man, looking vicious and savage.
When he saw her, he immediately hugged the skull and looked at her in horror. "Darling, how did I get here? Why am I sleepwalking around with the skull you put in the fridge for me to make breakfast with tomorrow?"
Bethany: "...Put away the giant, still-plugged-in electric saw behind you first."

Later, Bethany learned that her bargain fiance had lied about liking her cooking. He'd also lied about being a director who loved making crime-action films. He'd even lied about his identity!
In a fit of anger, she went to Iron Man's house and took a time ship straight back home!
But when she woke up, she found she hadn't returned to the 19th century. Instead, she was back in her 21st-century home, with rows of human bones and laboratory equipment in front of her, and all sorts of strange ingredients stuffed into the fridge.
Her bargain fiance came over and handcuffed her. He smiled charmingly, but there was something chilling about it. "Darling, didn't you want to know who I am? How will you find out if you leave?"
