[A beloved-by-all story, isn't this adorable blurb enough to make you add it? Please add me, ahhh!]
Wuyun Xue belongs to a clan of cat spirits that has passed down the ability to take human form since ancient times.
She blends into human society and lives like an ordinary person.
When she was in fifth grade, her English teacher asked the class to write a letter to a friend overseas, in the voice of an international friend.
Wuyun Xue obediently wrote one. The letter disappeared, then, half a day later, somehow came back.
But it was covered in angry red corrections, all pointing out her grammar and word-choice mistakes.
At the end was a two-word, haughty verdict: "Garbage."
Wuyun Xue's cat paws clenched into fists. From then on, she wrote every day to a boy across the ocean who called himself "Damian" and was also in elementary school.
Her English improved by leaps and bounds through their daily arguments.
Wuyun Xue decided she had nothing more to say to him, so she unilaterally cut off contact and went back to writing letters to random people.
Including, but not limited to, a strange boy who wore a red helmet every day, a certain Gotham playboy who called himself a lady-killer, and a little red bird who said he was a genius and would inherit Batman's mantle...
She became good friends with all of them, and completely forgot about the irritable, arrogant grade-schooler.
Then, one summer a year later, one of Wuyun Xue's uncles went abroad to expand his business and took her with him. She would have to spend at least a few years overseas to gain experience.
At first, her life was perfectly normal. She met the Red Hood, the Gotham playboy, and the little red bird from her letters, and became friends with them.
She also met lots of other people, like Iron Man, Superman, Batman, and so on.
Every day was full of excitement.
But at some point, she began to feel that someone was watching her from the shadows, their gaze dark and full of anger.
She always felt they wanted to strangle her, but whenever she turned around, there was no one there.
Until one night, Wuyun Xue woke from a sound sleep, sensing someone at her bedside. She opened her eyes and met a pair of clear, terrifying green eyes. He tightened his grip around her neck and demanded, "How many boyfriends do you have? Which number am I?"
Uh.
Wuyun Xue thought she'd misheard, but his grip around her neck was tightening. She was about to suffocate.
All she could do was answer in a panic: "None. You're the first."
His hand loosened, but he still looked at her with such hatred that it seemed he might chop her into minced meat at any moment.
So she tremblingly kissed the corner of his mouth. "Now I've given you my first kiss, too."
A certain Damian was instantly petrified.

Wuyun Xue thought their courtship was a lot of fun. At least, she did.
But her time abroad was almost over, and she had to return home. She couldn't stay with her clingy boyfriend anymore.
So she plotted her own fake death, thinking she'd wake up back home!
But when she woke up, she hadn't returned home. Worse, she was trapped.
Her irritable yet charming boyfriend gave her a pleasant smile as she woke. Somehow, he was holding a cat collar. "Ah Xue, you've been so naughty. I have to keep you locked up."
Wuyun Xue refused to give up. She tried to escape several more times, but he caught her every time, and his punishments became more varied.
Unable to take it anymore, she bit his shoulder and demanded, "Why do you always catch me?!"
Only then did he leisurely rub the two fluffy ears atop her head. "Silly. You still haven't learned to hide your ears, even though you're all grown up."
"No matter how far you run, I can spot you at a glance."
*Only Damian can see her cat ears
*I don't think I've ever written a story about Damian as a kid. Maybe I should. Add this to your collection, please, sob sob.
