"What is the price of fame?"
The youngest, most gifted one is the first to fall and retreat from the world.
The loudest, most vivacious and cheerful one ends up weighed down by sorrow.
The gentlest and most perceptive one is left alone in the end, unable to see how it all concludes.
Three young women, new to the martial world, hit it off at once. Naonao accidentally boards the wrong boat and meets Xiaoyu, then they pick up Nuonuo at a tea stall. From then on, their joyful daily life begins: one meditates while another brews medicine; one makes trouble while another cleans up after her.
Naonao earnestly researches whether she can eat spicy food while cultivating and spends ages debating it with the other two. Xiaoyu complains that her schedule is far too detailed while secretly helping her improve it. Nuonuo is the one who quietly brings them hot tea and smiles without a word as they bicker.
They explore night markets together and set lotus lanterns afloat, practice swordplay beneath ginkgo trees, and cheer over a bowl of Dongpo pork. They make every day feel warm and bright.
Naonao says:
"The three of us will always be together!"
Xiaoyu calls it childish, but her eyes are smiling.
Nuonuo says nothing. She simply fills all three cups of tea to the same level.
But later, some paths simply part along the way. One leaves without saying goodbye, another's heart condition returns, and one is left to walk alone through the wind of the martial world, never understanding: how did the forever they promised become a farewell with no hope of meeting again?
Is the price of fame, in the end, the loss of one's dearest friends?
