Reborn Ten Years After Dying in Battle [Mecha]

The chief mecha engineer, Lin Feng, was reborn ten years in the future.

Foreign forces invaded, star systems fell into turmoil, and the legions split apart. His comrades, who had been as close as brothers, vanished without a trace, while the once-revered legion commander was reduced to a cripple.

Lin Feng transmigrated into the body of a timid, meek healer who had just graduated from medical school and was bullied by everyone. The school assigned him a job no one else dared take: caring for the violent, crippled former commander, whose mental powers could erupt at any moment.

Those secretly plotting against Lin Feng waited for him to die in the crossfire of a mental power outbreak, wiped out without a trace, killing two birds with one stone.

But that night, the legendary mecha that had vanished into the stars ten years ago appeared once more.

The Farstar Defense Line, dark for years, lit up. The Morning Star rose high, the star systems roared to life, and a new era of rebuilding began.

A brand-new free star appeared in the Human Federation's territory, drawing countless people to settle there and offer their services.

After being framed and imprisoned for ten years, Lu Heng endured the pain of his injuries as he laid out a game of chess.

He had accounted for his own death, making it the spark that would ignite hope.

Once he made up his mind, he never changed it.

“But you’re wearing this...” Lin Feng rested one hand on the armrest of the commander's wheelchair, hooked a finger through the silver chain around Lu Heng's neck, and looked at the name engraved on the cold metal.

The dog tag that should have stayed with every mecha engineer until the last second of their life bore not Lu Heng's name, but his own.

The tag had always been worn against his chest, close to his heart, warmed by his body heat and repeatedly caressed by his fingers.

Lin Feng lifted his eyes, his gaze bright as he met Lu Heng's.

He smiled, looking almost mischievous.

“Since you feel so indebted to me, Commander... why not give me something?”

“Something you want to throw away, but that I really like.”

“Sir, why not give me your life?”
