[Football] I'm Picking Up the Ballon d'Or on Monday

*A short-story idea, experimental content.

*You never drank any herbal medicine.

The protagonist played a prank on April Fools' Day.

The protagonist posted on social media, "I've fallen deeply in love with someone of the same sex. I love him so much. For his sake, I'm going to come out as gay."

This ill-timed joke shocked his teammates! The media! The fans! The entire world!

When everyone took the joke seriously, it stopped being a joke. The protagonist was so convincingly gay that nobody suspected he was faking it.

What's more, before he could explain, that very night he supposedly couldn't take all the criticism and jumped into a river, where he died.

In reality, the protagonist was just a straight guy who had the bad luck to kick the bucket... He wasn't reborn, and his identity as a gay man was now set in stone.

The protagonist's teammates were reborn.

They swore that in their new lives, they'd track down the scumbag who'd made the protagonist so lovesick, then callously let him fall, ruining a brilliant career!
