Although they were all carbon-based lifeforms, all intelligent beings on Planet Y reproduced asexually. From their ancestors to their descendants, they all shared the same genes.

Then a genetic disease swept the globe, and the intelligent beings who survived began a grand hybridization project.

S136 was the most powerful intelligent being on Planet Y. One day, she found a man.

She took him home to hybridize with him. But... it seemed she was going about it the wrong way.

She tilted her head. "Doesn't the Earthling User Manual say humans reproduce through insertion? Why isn't it working?"

The man shouted, "First of all, I'm a man! And secondly, that's sex!"

She was puzzled. "What's sex? The intelligent beings on Planet Y never excrete or eat. We can live by basking in the sun."

The man cursed. "You're a monster just like a plant!"

She said nothing, and simply kept experimenting according to the manual.

Jiang Zhihuai was a psychiatrist who was inexplicably kidnapped and taken to this bizarre planet.

The people on this planet were obsessed with hybridizing with every kind of living thing, then breeding one monster after another.

He looked up at the sky and pleaded, "Somebody save me!"

Later, he discovered that although these people were incredibly strong, they were mentally underdeveloped.

He pulled out a book on child psychology and thought: If I can't change fate, then I can only change the environment.

His first student, ID number S136, got a name, Yan Qi, on the very first day she became his student.

Yan Qi was basking in the sun. Jiang Zhihuai: "Plant."

Jiang Zhihuai was eating. Yan Qi: "Animal."

Yan Qi: "Doctor, you should teach me the proper way to hybridize now."

Jiang Zhihuai coughed twice and asked, "Um, did you write today's diary?"

Yan Qi handed him her diary. "I did."

Yan Qi's diary:

[In the morning, I basked in the sun with the doctor, then planted sweet potatoes. At noon, I cooked with the doctor, then watched him eat. In the afternoon, I listened to the doctor's lesson. At dusk, I learned how to hybridize plants with the doctor.]

Jiang Zhihuai: "See? I've already taught you how to hybridize."

Yan Qi: "But that's not right. That's for plants."

Jiang Zhihuai: "You are a plant."

Yan Qi: "I want to learn how plants and animals hybridize."

Jiang Zhihuai: "Plants and animals are reproductively incompatible. They can't hybridize!"

Yan Qi: "But the Earthling User Manual says..."

Jiang Zhihuai: "That's not hybridization! Forget it. I can't explain this to a plant. Don't touch me!"
