Damian Al Ghul, future heir to the League of Assassins and the undisputed son of the Demon, was five years old physically and one year old mentally when a special tutor arrived.
Looking down at the baby, who was no more than 40 centimeters tall, Damian calmly asked as if stating a fact, "You're here to teach me magic."
Other than magic, he couldn't imagine why his strict mother would find a baby to teach him.
"I'm the world's greatest assassin. Underestimate me and you'll die." The baby chuckled, his curled sideburns quivering.
Damian was about to mock him by pointing out that Lady Shiva was the world's greatest assassin, but he sensed a murderous aura. A moment later, he was literally hammered into the ground.
He hadn't even had time to react.
Damian: …
What a disgrace!
One day, Damian couldn't take any more of his unhinged tutor's endless training methods. He ran away from home to find his biological father.
Then he realized the baby had followed him.
And worse, his father knew him too!
Bruce, the first student of the great demon Reborn in the DC universe, said nothing. He simply made sure the defenses of Wayne Island were at full strength.
Why had the teacher he'd finally gotten rid of come back?!
"Father, you're far more powerful than I imagined," Damian remarked in a tone of awe.
Bruce: … He really doesn't need that kind of recognition. Really.
Can someone please come and take Reborn away!
As described above, Ryohei's Reborn will charge into DC, and the Sky Arcobaleno will single-handedly bring the Batfamily into being.
As everyone knows, nobody dies in our traditional shonen series, and nobody goes to hell. DC is about to welcome its most benevolent teacher! (Cheers!)
This follows the reverse-order Batfamily. Ryohei's Reborn promises to round everyone out, and because they have a common enemy, Reborn, the family members get along very harmoniously (?). Bat is forced into the role of straight man. (Who could resist making fun of Ryohei's Reborn?) His temper was already mellowed out during his travels, so he'll be gentler and more fun-loving.
My version of the Batfamily. If it's not your thing, don't read.
No pairings in the whole story. Reborn's System makes a cameo from next door's -1. Only the personality is the same; the setting is different. It doesn't matter whether you read it or not. Think of it as a little Easter egg.
Not sure when I'll start writing. I'll finish KHR first, then review the DC comics before deciding whether to start this. Saving the idea for now.
