[Western Crossover] What If Your Former Employer Was a Villain Factory?

Null, male (he/him/his), 26 years old. *Asking about a job applicant's sexual orientation violates their personal privacy, but since he's in a danmei novel, he's obviously gay.* Education: Raccoon City University - Combined bachelor's and master's degree in bioinformatics - PhD in biomedical engineering Work Experience: His first job was at Umbrella Corporation, a well-known major company in the city where he went to university, Raccoon City. They even offered free vaccines to new employees. But after the company's secret plot to develop bioweapons was exposed, they went all-in on layoffs and pay cuts to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Null gave a polished, professional explanation for his departure: The company was undergoing a strategic restructuring and adjusting its staffing structure. His second company was Mobius, where he could enjoy unlimited access to tokens for life as soon as he joined. Who could have guessed that factions would erupt into conflict within the company? The AI boss, the intelligent-worker boss, and the androids fought a fierce battle. As a result, they cut human employees' transportation and meal allowances and demanded that they work 24/7 without a break. Null thought long and hard about his reason for leaving: I hope to find a company culture that aligns with my values. Work-life balance! His third company was the multinational Abstergo Industries, where he researched changes in DNA sequences. He'd heard that top performers even got game figurines made by the company's entertainment division. He never expected that doing his job too well would lead to his boss showing up with a gun in one hand and a mysterious invitation in the other, asking whether he'd join a mysterious ancient evil organization willingly. If he refused, he'd die. If he joined, he'd enjoy the wonderful lifestyle of "having to work overtime at your desk even after hours, but since you never leave work, you don't have to come in either." Null: ? When asked a question by Arkham Asylum's HR, Null angrily wrote down the reason for leaving his previous job: My boss tried to coerce me into an affair at work! I wanted to quit, but my boss wouldn't let me! HR: Then how did you manage to quit? Null: Oh, my boss died. Don't ask how. HR: ... With his impressive resume, Null was successfully appointed the new director. Day one on the job: Red Robin, who had tracked him all the way from Raccoon City, passed by the director's office. Day two on the job: Young Master Timothy passed by the director's office. Day N on the job... Null was pondering the profound question of whether dating Red Robin counted as being coerced into an affair by his boss. Theme: The 21st century belongs to biology. But remember to keep your eyes open when looking for a job!
