Your Bones Are Inside Me

[There are bones of yours inside my body]

Chen Ye is a rough-and-tumble driver who specializes in "high-risk logistics."

His beat-up Wuling Hongguang spends all year crisscrossing the country with urns and bodies of people who died unnatural deaths.

He's tough, fearless, and immune to evil spirits.

Everyone says he was born to make a living in the underworld.

That is, until he takes a private job paying eight times the usual rate, hired by a well-mannered reprobate named Lin Xuan.

Lin Xuan has an extreme aversion to dirt. He wears tailored suits and gold-rimmed glasses.

But his long, slender right hand hangs stiffly at his side, utterly lifeless.

On their journey, the two encounter a cave spirit in western Hunan, a witchcraft array in southern Yunnan, wind whispers in Tibet...

Whenever they face a deadly supernatural incident, the "alien bone of the dead" pressed close to Chen Ye's heart grows scorching hot and begins to resonate like mad.

Then, at the bottom of a backward-flowing underworld river in a Miao village, Lin Xuan splits open an ancient silver bracelet with his bare hands. He takes out a gleaming white wrist bone and, without changing expression, presses it into his own mutilated right hand.

As sensation returned, Lin Xuan trembled. For the first time in eleven years, he took Chen Ye's hand.

Clutching his violently pounding left chest, Chen Ye finally let out a curse:

"Just how many pieces were you cut into?"
