Raising Snakes [Matriarchy]

Su Yu has never had any particular hobbies, but raising snakes is the one thing she can't give up. Unfortunately, Grandma Su is firmly against it, so she can only envy her friend's pet snake.

Until one day, Su Yu joins a caravan run by her family's business and spends the night at Seven Snake Ridge, where she happens upon a little black snake on the verge of death.

The tiny snake, black all over, looks especially beautiful in the moonlight. Overjoyed, Su Yu secretly takes it along.

The little black snake is remarkably intelligent. Knowing it must stay out of sight, it obediently nestles in the warmest place against Su Yu's chest, only occasionally poking out its head to curiously look around when no one is nearby.

And so Su Yu brings the little black snake home and secretly starts raising it right under Grandma Su's nose.

But the longer she raises it, the more something seems off. The little black snake, which was initially only as thick as her thumb, keeps getting bigger and bigger, and it looks like it's turning into a python!!!

How can she hide it now? How can she possibly keep it hidden!

Just as Su Yu is racking her brain and almost ready to agree to marry a man and move out, the black snake suddenly disappears, replaced by a handsome man with pale skin and ink-black hair.

The man speaks in a clumsy accent: "You can marry me."

Su Yu: "..."

Su Yu: "Where did this strange man come from? Don't get in my way while I look for my snake."
