Seven Days in Stockholm

The man she'd secretly loved for three years became her brother-in-law.

On the day of the wedding, she smiled, raised her glass, and called him "Brother-in-law."

Then she turned around and bought a ticket to the ends of the earth.

At a bed-and-breakfast in Stockholm, a boy left a light on for her.

His noodles were too salty, and his handwriting was beautiful.

When she cried, he said, "That must have hurt."

In seven days, she healed the hidden wound she'd carried for three years in his arms,

but came away with another kind of affliction.

She thought she'd come to forget someone.

Instead, she remembered someone else.

The day she left, he said, "I'll be here until the day you don't need me anymore."

On the plane back to Beijing, she opened The Little Prince.

On the title page was the sentence he'd said:

"Some people come into your life not to stay with you until the end."

She added the next line:

"They come to show you that you deserve to be treated well."

But Yu Zheng, you deserve to be treated well, too.

It's just that I'm not the one who can do it.

They met at the wrong time,

in the wrong place, and had the wrong dream.

When the dream is over, it's time to part.
