Without a Wish, Why Compete for First Place?

[Easy to read even if you haven't read the original]

Fei is a high school student who has no dreams for the future.

But one morning, when he woke up, he found a strange egg that had appeared from who knows where.

After transferring to a new school, he discovered that quite a few people in his class had eggs just like his.

Their eggs all hatched without a problem. His was the only one that never did anything.

Idols, servants, party animals, police officers, gods...

The little spirits that hatched from Guardian Eggs gave people strength.

Even the older brother he'd finally gotten to see again had a Guardian Egg.

Strange incidents were happening all over campus. NO. 1 were parasitizing Guardian Eggs that had turned into X Eggs and devouring humans. Student council members at the university his brother attended could pilot giant robots... One irrational thing after another happened around him.

Although his egg still hadn't hatched, he had made a contract with a god and was able to transform into the Red Warrior.

"So your dream is to become a watchdog?"

"I'm a wolf!"

Even though people and NO. 1 kept calling him a dog, he still confidently howled like a wolf.

Reader's guide:

1. The story contains many changes to the characters' ages and has a school setting. Because of changes to their family circumstances and life experiences, their personalities differ considerably from the original.

2. There is no ring-based worldbuilding, and no one will transform into any of the previous Red Warriors.

3. The image on the character card means Fei is asking to borrow money. So even though it looks like the card only features him, everyone is actually there.
