Initial D: Heartbeat at the Limit

Synopsis:

When "absolute reason" meets "a madwoman who buys heartbeats with money."

Project D's expedition has been unstoppable, and team captain Takahashi Ryosuke's theories are flawless. He believes everything in the world can be calculated, including speed and victory. Until one night, on a mountain road in Tochigi Prefecture, a woman named Kurosawa Yukiyo entered his world with a blank check.

She was born among the elite, a flawless creation of high society. No one knew that beneath her dazzling exterior was an addict who used her immense wealth to systematically buy experiences that brought her to the brink of death. Skydiving, deep-sea diving, F1 test drives... She did it all to catch the thrill of being alive at the edge of losing control.

She watched his races not as thrilling competitions, but as precise social experiments. "Your theories are perfect," she said, handing him a contract, a dangerous whirlpool hidden in her smile. "But I'm paying for something 'imperfect.' Use your hands to build a machine that can precisely measure the 'point of no return.'"

An "observation seat" purchased with an astronomical budget bound together two souls who lived at the extremes.

He calmly analyzed the data. She feverishly chased the height of sensation.

He controlled every variable. She was the biggest uncontrollable factor of all.

When the cold theories of Akagi's White Comet collided with a fierce sensibility willing to spend a fortune for a moment of vertigo, a road adventure that began as a financial transaction quietly veered into dangerous territory, where reason and madness intertwined.

Would this road lead to the finish line of victory, or the starting point of a plunge into the uncontrollable?
