The Most Wanted Criminal, but Her Boyfriend Is a Cop

She woke to find a knife in her hand, surrounded by blood and scattered limbs.

The Criminal Investigation Team burst in and gave her no chance to explain. She was sentenced to 300 years and thrown behind bars.

Her neighbor across the hall was a computer: a top hacker with an unpredictable temper who loved picking other people's locks and infecting their devices with viruses.

Her neighbor on the left was a little mushroom: a professional pickpocket, soft and fresh-looking, whose spores could kill you if you weren't careful.

Her neighbor on the right was a young girl: a top assassin with a sweet face and a poisoned heart, who could kill without spilling a drop of blood.

On a stormy night, the computer cracked the prison locks and disabled the trackers, the little mushroom knocked out the guards, and the assassin led the way. It was the perfect time to break out.

But they were planning something much bigger:

Kill the warden.

Chen Jinyan, a specially appointed captain of the Special Cases Unit, was as cold and merciless as the silver-threaded button fastening his shirt at the neck. His indifferent eyes were the unit's sharpest blade. Wherever he went, not a single clue escaped him.

One day, someone reported the theft of a family heirloom: a jellyfish specimen worth twenty million. The police searched the scene and found nothing. The case was handed to him, and the central authorities expected him to catch the culprit.

He picked up the only clue: a blurry half-length rubbing of a figure seen from behind. A long braid hung to the waist. A short, shabby tunic draped over her, and she held a bottle of mineral water.

What a coincidence. Wasn't this the young girl who came by his house every day to collect cardboard and bottles?
