The wandering bard by the roadside drew a deep breath and said sincerely, "Here's a little-known fact that nobody knows: Eorzea's great hero, the Warrior of Light, is actually three people."

Everyone insisted that couldn't be true.

Passerby A: "I know the Warrior of Light. He's funny and witty, a real smooth talker, and a master haggler."

Passerby B: "I know the Warrior of Light. He's easygoing, likes grapes, and you can often see him at the tavern."

Passerby C: "I know the Warrior of Light. That young man is a bit of a neat freak and does everything by the book."

Passerby D: "Are you all talking about the same Warrior of Light?"

So the Warrior of Light is actually three brothers with very different personalities.

Reader's Guide

1. This is a FFXIV AU based on the gods of Greek mythology. Even if you haven't played, you can probably still read it. If you want to avoid spoilers, you can click away. That said, the plot has been changed a lot, so don't take everything I wrote as fact or your time in the game may become miserable. In my version, the main characters are three brothers: the lancer, the merchant, and the tavernkeeper. I personally use the Viera body type. The brothers' relationship is purely platonic, with a little ensemble cast flavor.

2. I start with 2.1 and weave in flashbacks. I may not write up to the current version, since it's awful and would take too much work to change, and I don't remember many details. Just consider it me rambling. All dialogue is based on machine translations of the English version, then changed to fit my own interpretation. The order of events will also be changed, so don't ask why a line doesn't match the game. Expect a lethal dose of fantasy-epic translationese, a lethal dose of my own headcanon and alterations, me writing whatever I feel like, authorial flights of fancy and showing off, literary allusions, montage, shifting viewpoints, Western references, and my own version of lore research. I'll also cut the screenwriter's idiotic political plotlines, changing them so much that the story will nearly become original fiction. I'll also skip ahead to write the other two characters' branching storylines. As for Pineapple Guy? He's doing the main quest.

3. There are references to a Dionysus/original character pairing, and they will take up a considerable amount of the story.

I will delete comments that criticize things the description has already warned you about. I'll also delete weird comments telling me how to write.
