To complete a small self-media assignment for class, Yan Qia was racking her brain to set up an account while aimlessly searching online for a topic. As luck would have it, after clicking into a well-known rabbit hole, she realized she might know something about one of the lost media works people were looking for.
After spending some time searching around during a visit to her hometown over the holiday, she found the famous lost media work. It was called:
"The Scapegoat... What a strange name."
However, as a long-lost game of great renown, it clearly wasn't something a gaming novice like her could beat. After the villain killed her over and over, she angrily used a cheat tool supposedly accessible even to beginners. Just as she decided to publish the game so everyone could suffer along with her:
In the pitch-black rental apartment, the old computer whirred so loudly that the fan seemed to groan, then powered on by itself.
The screen lit up, displaying a blue screen that looked like an error.
Then it turned hazy.
A pale, long-fingered hand reached out from within.
"Hello."
The man with the vivid hair said, "...Don't run away."
Yan Qia: ...You said that when you killed me in the game too! Aaaaaaah, I'm sorry! I'll never use cheats recklessly again! Aaaaaaah!
She was trapped in his arms, surrounded by the cheap fragrance of the kind of gift shop she remembered from childhood. His whisper against her ear made her more and more afraid. In the dim room, he kissed the ends of her hair and said:
[I love you so much.]
The young butcher said, [Let me be yours. Let me give you everything I have.]
There was an axe by her feet.
I like him so much, so much, no, no, no, no, this is so scary, so scary, but I like him so much, so scary
Trembling, she reached out and placed her hand in his palm. It was the only way to keep the jackal on a leash.

'Have you ever heard of an urban legend?'
'Urban legends? Aren't they all made up?'
'No. The reason urban legends become popular is that they satisfy people's curiosity about the unknown and their appetite for the bizarre. But more importantly...'
'Perhaps they're lurking in some corner, waiting for people to keep telling these strange and fantastic stories, so they can continue to exist...'
Reader's Guide
1. Spirited, cheerful lead singer cutie x gloomy electronic-music butcher villain
The heroine really is a sweet, soft, timid girl, and the hero really is a gloomy urban legend (hey).
2. This is an urban-legend story set in a fictional world where urban legends are everywhere. Please don't compare it to reality.
3. A simple story of romance and various incidents, that's all.
4. Please be kind in the comments, and enjoy the story. I'll pin comments after fixing typos. I don't accept writing advice. Please don't bother other readers. I will moderate the comments section.
