A Double Romance in a Bitter Summer

In that endless, bitter summer, two girls entered Geto Suguru's world, one after the other.

One was Seto, an ordinary girl with a radiant smile and a fellow student at Jujutsu High.

Amid the cicadas' cries on campus, she would quietly slip him a can of cold cola at the vending machine.

She was the moonlight he cherished most. He once held her hand and promised, "When summer break ends, let's take a trip to the seaside."

The other was Xi, a cult follower whose identity was a mystery, as still as water.

Amid the cloying, decaying incense, she was the only one he allowed close enough to drape the five-striped robe over his shoulders.

She was the cult leader's most loyal shadow. Late at night, he would lean wearily against her shoulder and murmur, "When all this is over, let's go somewhere no one can find us."

One was a past he couldn't forget. The other was the present within reach.

When the romance route of the man named Geto Suguru reaches its end,

only one of them is destined to make it to that promised summer.
