There is no doubt that Kurokawa Hizuki is a great beauty.
She is also an arrogant, vain, compulsive liar who looks out for herself.
Ever since she was little, no one has been immune to her looks. They have made life much easier for her, letting her squander money amid other people’s adoration and attention.
But her allure seems to have grown increasingly strange when it comes to bad people. It has grown stronger, while also magnifying their wickedness.
So when she once again tried to swindle a bad person out of money so she could eat, drink, and have fun before taking off, only to be attacked in revenge by someone whose love had turned to hate, she was frightened.
She fled to Tokyo, planning to behave herself a little better.
Instead, she met a boy with dark green hair who was so arrogant he barely acknowledged her.
When had Kurokawa Hizuki ever put up with that kind of insult? On the spot, she swore she would make him fall madly in love with her, then dump him!
The good news: she succeeded, and it was easy.
Since he could satisfy her love of luxury and pleasure, and protect her too, she might as well use him for now.
The bad news: pretending to be innocent was exhausting, and he didn’t seem quite so easy to fool.
She had to find a chance to run away.
Echizen had already seen the little streaks of vanity and caprice beneath his girlfriend’s pretty exterior. She also caused the occasional “little trouble,” but he didn’t mind.
Later, he gradually realized that she seemed to want to get away from him, and that her “little troubles” were becoming more frequent.
It was fine. She still had a long way to go. He would make her “see the error of her ways.” Besides, he had long since realized she was just an innocent, unlucky fool.
One day, Echizen looked at his girlfriend’s suitor, who seemed on the verge of tears, and sneered.
So much for being impressive. You had the nerve to challenge me, and you’re just a loser.
Just then, his girlfriend arrived and patted him on the shoulder. “What are you two doing?”
“Nothing. I don’t know him,” he replied.
Perhaps ashamed that the girl he liked had seen him in such a pathetic state, the challenger wiped away his tears and snot, then looked ready to risk everything as he tried to punch Echizen by surprise.
Echizen was about to dodge, but the girl beside him pushed him aside first. With a disgusted expression, she shouted at the other boy, “Your hand has snot on it, and you still want to touch him? Get away!”
Then she turned to Echizen. “I won’t let you hang out with someone who doesn’t keep clean!”
Echizen: “...” She really is a fool.
It’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Reader’s Guide:
1. The heroine has some of Tomie’s traits (allure and healing), but she is not Tomie and cannot split and regenerate.
2. The heroine isn’t a bad person. She has flaws, but she’s good at heart. “See the error of her ways” is an exaggeration.
3. A lighthearted, sweet romance set in high school. Early on, the male lead is much more interested in the heroine than she is in him.
