One day, Huo Bingchen ran into Pei Cuizhuo in the entrance hall as he returned from his morning run. Pei was hurrying out.

The housekeeper told him that the young man had come early that morning to beg the second young master to show mercy, only to be mocked and insulted.

Acting on impulse, Huo called out to the disheveled man and held out his hand, introducing himself.

"I'm your classmate's older brother."

Pei's eyes were red-rimmed, but his dark pupils shone startlingly bright. He still carried that aloofness, untouched by worldly troubles, and an indomitable pride that held him upright even as he teetered on the brink of collapse. His wariness and defensiveness could not hide it.

After a moment's hesitation, he reached out his hand.

The instant Huo clasped that cool, firm hand, his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

The filthy desire that had suddenly surfaced in his eyes was completely hidden behind his elegant, gold-rimmed glasses.

"Maybe I can help you."

He had indulged his younger brother's antics for so long. It turned out it had all been for this moment.
