[Cthulhu] The Clingy Investigator Who Wouldn't Leave Me Alone for 18 Years

[A rehab project after a year without writing. Currently revising it along with the spectacular failure next door!]

[On 5/20, I'll be doing a 12-hour personal blogging event on Weibo, pulling out drafts of this cute couple to show off their love www. Wishing Shang Lu and Chu Yan a lifetime of happiness ❤️]

Yan Xinghe has many wishes.

His first is to get into his dream university, his second is to confess to his senior, and his third is to buy the latest game console...

All of them were shattered on his eighteenth birthday.

His father, dead. Terrifying monsters. Flames everywhere.

At his most desperate, a pair of hands pulled him to safety.

Live.

Live well.

That was what the person told him.

A drowning man had seized the only lifeline he had.

Anyone who wanted to take it away had better be ready to be dragged underwater with him.

So thought Yan Xinghe, who had used his status as a victim to gain admission to Miskatonic University.

Yan Xinghe had many wishes.

He wanted to investigate the mystery surrounding his fathers' deaths. He wanted to survive in this chaotic world...

He wanted to claim the treasure that belonged to him.

[Original pairing: gentle senior Chu Yue, the aloof flower, as the gong x clingy gravity-type ghost Yan Xinghe as the shou]

Reader's Guide:

1. This follows an alternate-universe route from the author's previous work, Big Failure. The senior never became Xiao Yan's ex-boyfriend, and the two start out as ordinary senior and junior students. Their characterizations have changed because of the alternate route, but their abilities are mostly unchanged. Don't worry, the plot won't repeat the previous work.

2. The romance is the main focus, and the plot is relatively light. You can check your brain at the door when it comes to the investigation and conspiracy elements.
