The Young Marquis Decides to Seize the Day [Reborn]

What should you do when the person you love loses their memory and falls into your hands?

Pei Yingzhen, who has lived another life, doesn't hesitate. He blurts out, "Someone found out we'd secretly promised ourselves to each other. Your overbearing family beat you nearly to death, so I had no choice but to smuggle you out..."

Without his memories, Xue Zhaoye sees the beauty in tears and, dazed and confused, decides that taking a beating for him is worth it.

The two spend half a year wrapped up in bliss, until Xue Zhaoye suddenly remembers everything. The revelation hits like a bolt from the blue.

They aren't wealthy young lovers eloping together. He was wounded while being hunted during a palace coup. He's the crown prince!

What role did this young marquis in front of him play in all of it?

Pei Yingzhen doesn't know the truth and keeps right on lying. "We fell in love at the Lantern Festival. You even kissed me in a corner..."

The beauty's cheeks flush with embarrassment. Xue Zhaoye's thoughts churn. What a silver tongue, and what a liar!

Xue Zhaoye wants to expose him, confront him, and ask what he's really up to! What does he want from him, after all?

What does Pei Yingzhen want?

In his previous life, he spent his days hiding, only to be hunted down by the emperor and lose his life in the end. Since he couldn't escape his fate, he might as well enjoy himself while he could.

Better to die beneath a peony and live a life of pleasure, even as a ghost.

Stolen candy is sweet too. He's already had his fill.

When his lies are exposed, Pei Yingzhen drops the act and says bluntly, "Didn't you enjoy yourself? I've only got one life to lose, anyway."

Xue Zhaoye doesn't want his life. He just wants to know: if he's such a good liar, were all those sweet words, those tender moments, and those promises of forever lies too?

Beautiful, shamelessly lying receiver x outwardly proper but secretly scheming emperor seme
