I've Liked Your Wife for a Long Time

[Warning in advance: homewrecker fiction]

What do you do when your dream man, whom you saw briefly years ago and thought you'd never see again, has a boyfriend?

The little devil gets to work. Yan Hui deliberately befriends the current boyfriend, becoming close buddies with Lu Ting. He takes him out, shows him the world, and lets him see just how carefree life can be, all while setting traps for Lu Ting and waiting for an opening.

When Chi Yuzhou realizes something is off with Lu Ting, he first refuses to believe it. Then he opens the private room door he himself pushed open and sees everything. As he watches Lu Ting go from reckless abandon to panic, Yuzhou asks himself: Do I still love him? Yes. Can I accept this? No.

Yan Hui has been waiting a long time. He keeps Chi Yuzhou informed, checks in on him, and condemns the scumbag, saying, "If it were me, I would never do that." He doesn't miss a thing, and finally gets to see his darling break up with Lu Ting, with the good fortune of witnessing it in person.

Chi Yuzhou and Lu Ting have been together for years. Yuzhou has handled all the money, and now he settles every account, then takes the ring off his finger. In the end, all that's left of their relationship is three words: "I'm giving it back."

Yan Hui nearly dies of delight on the spot. "I'm giving it back," clean and simple. How perfect!

Later, he wins his darling's heart too, and things should be better than ever. But Yan Hui grows anxious and insecure, dreaming of Chi Yuzhou saying "I'm giving it back." He starts to suspect that his darling is refusing to spend his money because he's saving that line for when they break up.

Yan Hui has a murkier past than Lu Ting. He's scheming, he steals someone else's partner, and he can't feel secure. Having stolen someone away himself, he thinks the whole world is trying to steal his partner.

Yan Hui: "There's not one decent person around me. What if they try to steal my wife?"

"Straight? Straight is the biggest lie of all!"
