My Husband Isn't Home Tonight

Lu Jinran's first impression of Xiao Zhi:

Young, a pretty but empty-headed ornament, and an omega, too.

At least it was only a marriage alliance. He didn't care what Xiao Zhi was like, as long as he didn't embarrass him in public.

His first impression wasn't great, but his wife was pretty, obedient, and no trouble, so they got along well enough.

Until one day, Lu Jinran caught sight of his well-behaved little wife typing in a chat window just before he left, excitement barely concealed: My husband isn't home tonight!

Lu Jinran: "?"

Xiao Zhi is great at acting obedient. As long as he plays his part, a happy life is guaranteed.

Too bad his marriage-alliance partner was obnoxiously arrogant and started off by saying he didn't like omegas. At least his faulty gland made up for that. What a jerk.

Still, married life was ideal. His husband was often away, and he could swipe the unlimited black card whenever he wanted!

Whenever Lu Jinran left, Xiao Zhi would invite all his friends over for a party. Life couldn't get any better.

Who would've thought that workaholics took impromptu time off, too? He'd just yelled, "My husband's out! This is awesome!" when his husband came home! QAQ

After that, Xiao Zhi started to notice something was off. Why was Lu Jinran always home?

And why was he asking Xiao Zhi to fulfill his marital duties???

After a day or two, Xiao Zhi thought it was fine. Alphas were pretty capable, after all. It felt good.

Three or four days... still fine... Wait, five or six days???

At last, exhausted, Xiao Zhi snapped: "Didn't you say you hated omegas and thought I was just a pretty face? Huh? Why won't you stop?!"

When will this end? When will this end? Don't alphas ever get tired?!

Lu Jinran wouldn't admit to a thing. "My wife is pretty and adorable. I love everything about him."

He proved he meant it with actions, then coaxed Xiao Zhi into telling him what he liked about him.

Without hesitation, Xiao Zhi replied, "I like it when you don't come home!"

Lu Jinran changed positions. "Come on, be good and say that again."

Xiao Zhi: "..."
