Meow and His Little Sidekick, Sherlock Meow

Meow adopted a little underling. Though this underling was so ugly he only had hair on top of his head, was too silly to hunt for himself, and spent all day working himself ragged for just a tiny bit of meat, he also had to wear ugly human clothes, put on hats that made cats itchy, and smoke things that smelled awful to cats. Still, this underling was somewhat useful: he gave Meow his territory.

Since that's settled, Meow will lead this unusually tall, somewhat deformed Sherlock Meow to earn some meat!

Huh? Why won't Sherlock Meow eat the mice Meow catches? Why does he insist on soaking them in that bitter coffee before eating them?

Holmes was accosted by a cat. It was a sleek black cat, pitch-black from head to tail. The cat jumped straight onto his shoulder, meowing insistently until he was forced to adopt it.

Well, since this black cat had helped him catch a thief, keeping a black cat said to bring good luck couldn't hurt.

But whenever he smoked, the cat batted away his pipe. Later, it even hid his tobacco, clawed his silk top hat until it was fuzzy, insisted he wear a fuzzy woolen shawl, and tossed mice into his coffee...

Why didn't Watson, who lived with him, get treated like this?

Still, the cat helped him find clues and catch culprits, so he could put up with these little quirks.

He was willing to take in this obviously very clever little black cat.

But one day, Holmes saw the little black cat grow into a full-sized human, then sit on his bed and bawl, "My fur! I don't want to turn into an ugly, deformed cat like Sherlock Meow!!"
