[Football] Alongside the Players

Lian Yu downloaded a little game called "Alongside the Players" in a group chat.

As a simple idle-raising game, it was less than 100 MB, but she soon discovered that unlocking players required paid draws.

Fortunately, she was rich, so she had to try drawing a couple just to see what she got.

She placed the little Kaka she drew in the small room on her home screen.

Then the little guy started babbling away.

Bubbles showing shock, confusion, bewilderment, and all sorts of other emotions appeared one after another. Lian Yu realized this game had something to it. She played for a while, and when the little guy's stamina ran low, she tried to feed him, only to find that cost money, too.

She gritted her teeth and paid.

From then on, she opened the game on her phone every day to grow closer to the little guy, and his affection for her kept going up.

Until one day, she saw him sitting with his head bowed in a corner. His status bar read: [Transfer window open. Leaving AC Milan soon.]

Lian Yu frowned, and the System popped up a prompt right on cue: [Recharge to purchase AC Milan Football Club.]

She paid.

When the little guy learned he wouldn't have to leave the club, he was stunned for a long time. Lian Yu poked him, expecting him to stay frozen, but instead he hugged her finger inside the game.

At the same time, his affection for her went above five stars.

Satisfied, Lian Yu put down her phone and went to sleep. She never expected that when she opened her eyes again, she would have become the new chairwoman of AC Milan Football Club.
