The Glamorous Second Senior Sister Passes Through a Xianxia Torture Romance

As the Immortal Venerable's second disciple, Yan Qiling has a gorgeous, alluring face and figure, with a vivid beauty that stands out from the crowd.

She is also cheerful and outgoing, makes a spectacle of herself wherever she goes, loves making friends and flirting with beautiful people, and is a shameless little butterfly.

She sticks out like a sore thumb among a whole family devoted to the Ruthless Dao. With those flirtatious eyes, she looks like she's trying to seduce everyone she sees.

People say she chose the wrong profession. She clearly belongs in the neighboring Hehuan Sect, where life is all wine and pleasure.

Even fox spirits from the demon realm can't beguile people as well as she can. The sect leader often tells their Immortal Venerable to keep her in line, worried she might bring shame upon the sect.

What if one of their own disciples gets seduced and someone's Ruthless Dao is broken?

Her master takes the advice to heart and seems just as worried about it, keeping a particularly close eye on Yan Qiling.

Then, when the sect opens its gates and their peak is about to gain a junior sister, Yan Qiling suddenly learns that she is living inside a novel. The two protagonists are a senior sister who cultivates the Ruthless Dao and a lively, playful junior sister. One never speaks her mind, while the other reads too much into everything. One misunderstanding follows another, and they embark on a million-word saga of love and heartbreak.

In the book, Yan Qiling serves as a cautionary example. Her flirtatious ways nearly lead to a feud between fellow disciples, making her everyone's target and almost earning her master's rejection.

Yan Qiling doesn't care. What's wrong with loving beautiful people?

Still, she learns something from all this: don't fish in the sect's own pond. She goes out every day, hoping to find a partner from another sect.

It doesn't seem to be working very well. Instead, the fish in her own pond come looking for her.

Her master is not at all pleased and finally loses patience.

While the senior sister and junior sister are having yet another misunderstanding because the senior sister won't speak her mind, the second senior sister has already been pinned behind a door and kissed by her master, who's tired of being ignored.

So the Ruthless Dao really does get you a wife!

The original novel isn't told from Yan Qiling and Chu Weishu's perspectives, so some of its narration is biased and incomplete.
