[Western Crossover] Is Working the Night Shift in Gotham a Mistake?

I'm an ordinary wage slave living in Gotham, and I always work the night shift.

Gas stations, convenience stores, fast-food joints, ice cream shops, movie theaters, hospitals... Basically, wherever there's a job, you'll find me. It's all because the night shift pays so well!

Of course, I have a strong work ethic and love whatever job I'm doing, even if every place I work at ends up going out of business.

I don't know why, but a few familiar-looking customers keep showing up wherever I work...

*

A newcomer arrived in Gotham. Normally, that would be nothing special, if her identity records weren't completely untraceable.

Batman paid her a little extra attention because of it.

But then he noticed that, for some reason, she was always working the night shift. That would have been fine on its own, but she kept running into murderers, lunatics, supervillains, and even paranormal events, Cthulhu, and aliens...

Batman: ...

* Maybe a mix of first and third person

* The heroine isn't human, and her thought process is unusual. She's native to a degree, and the story may lean into a bizarre cosmic-horror setting

* From an omniscient perspective, the heroine may seem especially eldritch and indescribable... ()

* I like writing unrequited crushes. I haven't decided on the male lead yet, so maybe readers can pick a stock

* Might include a mash-up of random horror games about night shifts, but heavily modified, since the plots of many old pixel-model horror games in this genre are pretty surreal

* OOC, stereotypes, and plot holes may appear. I haven't decided which era's characterizations and plot I'll use, so I'm leaving this idea here for now. It might be set a little earlier

[Still in development... Writing this for love]
