Your choice will determine the direction of Kira Nott's first move at Hogwarts.
"Darling, charm isn't a gift. It's a weapon."
In 1971, the most elegant player took her place on Hogwarts' chessboard.
Kira Nott, the Nott family's perfect pure-blood creation, knew that in an age filled with legends, emotions were an unnecessary weakness and people's hearts were variables that could be calculated.
The Marauders? Just an ornate chess table.
She showed James Potter just the right amount of admiration, becoming a shadow he could never quite conquer in his arrogant world;
she shared a delicate understanding with Sirius Black as a fellow pure-blood who had turned against his family, while planting a deeper hook in the depths of his gray eyes;
she offered Severus Snape "understanding" that went beyond blood status, becoming the only ally in his dark world who never demanded he seek the light;
she even made Lily Evans feel her goodwill, while ensuring those green eyes would never see through the cold appraisal beneath her gentle smile.
This was a war without curses.
She laid down smoke in the second-floor corridor, left words lingering after Potions class, and arranged perfectly timed "chance encounters" in the library. The curve of every smile and the timing of every kind word were carefully calibrated weights, placed on whichever side of the scales most needed tipping.
The Marauders began to fracture from within because of her. Snape's loyalty began to waver. Lily's path quietly changed... Dumbledore's gaze occasionally passed over her flawless profile, a hint of suspicion flashing in his eyes.
While everyone else got caught in the web she had woven,
Kira Nott calmly wrote in her diary:
"The pieces are in place. Which 'hero' should I have remove the crown for me next?"
What to look forward to:
▷ The heroine is a master manipulator of cold logic, not a lovestruck fool. Every emotional interaction is a means to an end.
▷ Multiple relationships manipulated at once: she navigates the Marauders, Snape, and Lily without getting caught.
▷ Low morals, high intelligence: her weak sense of morality is logically consistent. She acts with elegance, but every step is calculated.
▷ A reimagining of the original story: the hidden corners of the Marauders' era, where every familiar character will end up somewhere unexpected.
🖤 One-line recommendation:
If you're tired of protagonists being pushed along by the plot, welcome to the player's seat.
"Severus, loneliness is excellent armor, but cooperation is a sharper sword."
Sirius leaned against the corridor wall and laughed. "You're more dangerous than every Slytherin, Kira." She smiled back. "Thank you. That's much nicer than being called 'cute.'"
James Potter had never wanted to "save" someone so badly, even though he had no idea what she needed saving from.
At the final chessboard, she lowered her wand and said softly, "See? You don't need an Unforgivable Curse to make the world bow."
All the pieces are on the board. Only you remain. Will you watch from the sidelines, or join the game?
