I, a Purebred Cat, Take the Civil Service Exam to Support My Human

Lin Yuanyuan is a little cat demon from the cultivation world.

He was knocked unconscious by lightning while undergoing his tribulation. When he woke up, he found himself in a very deep black hole. He spent every day digging in the darkness, and at last, his hard work paid off: he made it out!

Faced with a completely unfamiliar world:

The bad news: The hole ate his tail, and he lost all his cultivation. He has to start over from scratch.

The good news: Everyone in this world is a cat lover, and there are countless believers for him to cultivate with.

The bad news: He's the only cat in this world! They're going to pet him bald!

After stumbling out and nearly starving to death, the cat decides to find himself a reliable human to scoop his litter.

You with the thick eyebrows and big eyes, you're the one!

After successfully sneaking into the Shen family, Lin Yuanyuan couldn't be happier. His only worry is that this human is pitifully weak. He can't cook or fight, never goes out, and has no friends. The food at home keeps dwindling, and the cat is worried sick!

To support the household, the cat has to read more books and newspapers. He learns addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division up to one hundred in a day, masters livestreaming and logging into games in seven days, learns the languages of animals from several countries, and enthusiastically takes the national civil service exam.

Just as the cat learns how to transform into a human, the Special Management Bureau sends him a job offer: nine to five, social insurance and housing fund, weekends off!

The cat is overjoyed! He's finally got a secure job!

Now he can support a human, too!

It's just that he can't figure out why the bizarre creatures that usually beat his human senseless turn pale with shock and tremble all over whenever his human sees him off.

Even his high-ranking boss is unfailingly courteous and never makes him work overtime or clock in. Lin Yuanyuan is well on his way to promotions and pay raises!

Shen Yuan is a monster without feelings. Though he does an excellent job of hiding in the human world, his desire to destroy it grows ever stronger.

One day, Shen Yuan discovers that the machine ball he brought home has been replaced by a fluffy black ball. The black ball seems to think he's weak. It follows him everywhere, purring and meowing at him, clingy as can be.

When he clears away the bizarre creatures at the door, the black ball stands in front of him like a protective parent, hissing fiercely: "Meow, meow, meow!"

When he goes to bed, the black ball walks on his chest and sniffs him over and over: "Meow, meow, meow!"

When he goes to shower, the black ball brazenly sits guard outside the bathroom: "Meow, meow, meow!"

Miraculously, his agitation and insomnia gradually ease, and his urge to devour things nearly disappears.

He's becoming more and more human.

Later, the cat in his arms turns into a human. Not only does he earn money to spend on Shen Yuan, he also wants to become his wife.

Shen Yuan comes to love this ordinary human life.

And, like a human, he falls in love with a cat.
