The Love-Starved Cat and the Clueless Puppy

As the most mysterious person on Liuguang Island, even Ye He doesn't know where she came from. As far back as she can remember, she has been with that person, living, studying, and having sex.

She was kept in a courtyard by that person. She had never seen the scenery outside, yet she was given the name "Ye He."

Later, the little bird in the courtyard disappeared, and a jade-faced, snake-hearted instructor appeared on Liuguang Island. The investigators trained under her were all elite, each capable of taking on a hundred opponents alone, including He Yi, whom she had forcibly taken for herself.

He Yi's original name was Ling Yi. She had no name of her own either; both names were given to her after she came to the island.

Before meeting Ye He, her greatest wish was to leave the island as soon as possible and recover her lost memories.

But on the eve of her departure, she met Ye He, the instructor whose name struck terror into everyone's heart...

"What's your name?"

"Ling Yi."

"Change it. Your name is He Yi now."

She had no right to refuse. Ye He forcibly severed every tie she had to her past, stamping her with Ye He's mark from then on.

Everyone knew she belonged to Ye He, but she was the only one who didn't.

Whenever Ye He looked at her, she always seemed lost in thought, as if looking through her at someone else.

At the beginning of every October, Ye He would leave the island alone.

That one year was the exception. She brought He Yi with her.

On the distant Xingguang Island stood a lavish estate that occupied almost the entire island. Someone was imprisoned there.

A madwoman, who looked very much like He Yi.

She was the person who had occupied twenty years of Ye He's life, the one who had been both teacher and mother to her, the one who had once given her a name, the irreplaceable person in Ye He's heart.

"Don't you want to know who you really are?" Ye He said. "Ask her."

But He Yi shifted her gaze to Ye He. "Who am I? Who am I to you?"
