Everyone I Fall for Ascends

Scheming, love-addled gong x devoted young master shou

Nan Jiming was banished to the mortal realm for breaking the laws of heaven and became an ordinary mortal.

Perhaps some of his divine power remained, because Nan Jiming had a miraculous knack for good fortune.

It didn’t benefit him, though. It benefited his husbands.

Stories about Nan Jiming spread through the streets and alleys. He was two or three hundred years old and had been in love more than a dozen times. Whether it was a prince or a commoner, a young master from a powerful family or a street beggar, anyone he took a fancy to was guaranteed to ascend to heaven.

Nan Jiming had probably gotten used to it. Whenever a husband ascended, he would find the next one without batting an eye, never even having a gap between relationships.

Ji Hui, the hapless soul Nan Jiming had sent to the heavens more than a dozen times: Enough already! Can you stop dating, you hopeless romantic?

Ji Hui was the son of the Celestial Emperor. He had never known hardship beyond the realm of love.

When he watched his Dao companion, Nan Jiming, get banished to the mortal realm, he knew that cultivating and ascending was the only way back to heaven.

So Ji Hui became a mortal and went to Nan Jiming’s side, determined to clear every obstacle from Nan Jiming’s path to immortality and help him ascend as soon as possible.

But the bastard was a hopeless romantic. No matter how hard Ji Hui tried to make him cultivate and ascend, the only thing on Nan Jiming’s mind was dating him.

Whenever Nan Jiming confessed his love, Ji Hui would ascend back to heaven the very next moment.

After the twelfth time Nan Jiming successfully sent him up to heaven, Ji Hui finally lost patience and transformed into the spirit of a magical jade bracelet, returning to Nan Jiming’s side.

Ji Hui: Surely you can’t date me now, right?

Nan Jiming: I wouldn’t be so sure.

Nan Jiming was having the time of his life in the mortal realm when he found a jade bracelet in his courtyard. A familiar magic power flowed through it, and a barely perceptible smile flickered in his eyes before he carefully put the artifact away.

He stroked the bracelet’s smooth, warm surface, deliberately ignoring its faint trembling.

How should he play with this jade bracelet?

Highlights:

1. Nan Jiming x Ji Hui. The shou only has Ji Hui, and the couple belong only to each other.

2. Angsty romance between a human and a god (nope), a couple playing out their kinks (yep).

Theme: Never give up.
