My Younger Landmine Boyfriend Is Upper Moon Six

After transmigrating into the Edo period as a courtesan who has just been sold to a brothel, she refuses to sell her body and offers to work as the brothel's doctor instead.

The madam is skeptical, but in the end decides to let her give it a try.

After one consultation, the madam feigns composure. "All right, I didn't expect you to actually know a thing or two about medicine..."

Of course she does! She spent eight years grinding through medical school, after all!

There aren't many jobs women can take in the Edo period, and after transmigrating, all the connections she's made are around the Yoshiwara pleasure district.

So even after saving enough money, she doesn't leave the red-light district. Instead, she opens a clinic nearby.

After all, the pleasure district is the only place where people will accept a woman as a doctor.

But... why isn't this clinic making any money, no matter how long it's been open?

"It's because you charge next to nothing for consultations and keep treating people for free! And you've taken in a bunch of brats as apprentices!"

The scrawny boy has come to visit his younger sister, Xiaomei, who is apprenticing at the clinic. He speaks with disdain.

"Taro, could you try being a little more polite? Honestly, I can't with you..."

Oh, whatever. She's an adult, and she won't stoop to arguing with a child.

Xi Ye smiles faintly and says, "I think you should become an apprentice too. Then Xiaomei would have company, instead of finishing her medicine lessons every day and waiting anxiously for you to visit."

The boy isn't having it. "I don't want to be an apprentice. How much money could I make doing that? I want to go back to the pleasure district and work as a yujio."

Xi Ye is speechless and exasperated. "What's with you, kid? You actually want to go back to the pleasure district and work as a thug? You're too young to be getting into trouble."

The boy before her gives a soft snort, unwilling to waste any more words on her.

A woman opening a clinic near the pleasure district and taking in a bunch of female apprentices. How naive. She has no idea how dangerous the world of the pleasure district can be.

What does she know? If he keeps working as a yujio, beating debtors half to death, maybe he can even help scare off those people with bad intentions.
