The blurb for the upcoming novel is at the very bottom of this page.
Xiao Yuan, the pursuer: A ruthless, powerful Grand Princess who holds the court in her grasp. Beautiful, strong, and tragically miserable, with the aura of a sinister ghost clinging to her. Any living thing within a meter of my wife is a potential enemy.
Jiang Lingzhi, the pursued: The legitimate daughter of the Jiang family, who has endured humiliation and bided her time. On the surface, she is a frail consort chosen for the tyrant’s harem. In truth, she’s an expert at training birds.
The Xiao clan of the Southern Kingdom has brought ruin upon the noble houses and their officials. Jiang Lingzhi, a daughter of one such house, enters the palace as a consort, wagering her own life to secure a place for her family amid the chaos.
She thinks the evil dragon is her greatest enemy, never realizing that a fierce bird of prey is perched behind it.
Not a quail, but a kite, soaring high in the sky!
Jiang Lingzhi never imagined that Xiao Yuan would force her way into her life so brutally, then occupy the rest of it.
Seventh month of the fourth year of Sui’an.
At their first meeting, Jiang Lingzhi lowered her eyes and poured her a drink. The Grand Princess, hailed as the pillar of the Southern Kingdom, eyed the petite figure over her cup and curled her lips. “I’m sorry. I’m not interested in women.”
Tenth month of the fourth year of Sui’an.
Xiao Yuan looked at the woman who was barely conscious and teased her. “Would you like me to find you a man?”
“Stop talking!”
With that, Jiang Lingzhi pulled her down by the neck, unable to bear it any longer, and silenced that infuriating mouth with a kiss.
Second month of the fifth year of Sui’an.
The woman who had once insisted she wasn’t interested in women used the Jiang family’s safety to coerce Jiang Lingzhi into spending every day tangled up with her.
With no other choice, Jiang Lingzhi ground out through clenched teeth, “Didn’t Your Highness say you weren’t interested in women?”
“I’m not. But who can help that Your Ladyship is a woman?”
She certainly had a stubborn mouth.
Seventh month of the fifth year of Sui’an.
A new emperor ascended the throne.
Jiang Lingzhi fled the palace and disappeared into the city.
She thought she’d never have anything to do with Jiankang again, but Xiao Yuan could no longer live without her, and neither could the Southern Kingdom’s court.
She was the tether that kept the fierce bird in check.
And she was the southern branch the bird relied upon.
Note:
This is a face-slapping, “you said you didn’t like it, but now you do” kind of story. Yes, Xiao Yuan, I’m talking about you.
The pursuer’s backstory and hardships are inspired by the historical Qinghe Princess. The author’s notes explain this in detail. These experiences shaped her character; this is not an attempt to romanticize suffering. She is someone who crawled out of hell. She is strong, beautiful, resilient, and worthy of love.
If this is something you’re uncomfortable with, please think carefully before reading, or simply leave the page. Kind words can warm you in winter, while cruel ones can wound the heart.
This is a fictional historical setting inspired by the Southern Dynasties, though it is not exactly the same, so there’s no need to research the history in detail.
A story of taking what you want, with a little pursuit-after-the-breakup drama. Both leads are easy to coax. One-on-one romance.
I’m trying to add a secondary couple, but there may not be one.
New novel coming soon:
“After Coveting the Demon God, They Turned Yellow”
A lecherous but cowardly, unhinged pup of a pursued lead who fantasizes about the Demon God every day, versus a Demon God constantly exposed to suggestive sermons from their followers, who decides that if you can’t beat them, you might as well join them.
The Demon God’s emissary, traveling through the world, recruits a follower from the East.
Xia Youshan has been bedridden with a serious illness for years. She thinks she’ll die the summer she turns twenty, but then a bizarre charlatan appears at her bedside and starts preaching in front of the doctors frantically trying to save her: “Believe in the Demon God, and you’ll live forever.”
Figuring she might as well give it a try, Xia Youshan signs the charlatan’s contract. After her life in the mortal world ends, she begins her immortal life serving the Demon God.
It should have been a trivial matter, but it becomes the beginning of everything:
The god says, “You must love the divine with absolute purity.”
Xia Youshan: Is that really a god? That’s clearly my wife, whom I’ve never even met!
The god says, “As a believer, you must offer the divine everything you have.”
Xia Youshan: Of course, of course! Honey, I want to have your baby!
The god says, “Confess your sins and transgressions to the divine, and the divine will forgive you for everything.”
Xia Youshan: [Hides her face] I’m sorry, my Demon God. I dreamed about your lovely... again last night.
The god can’t go on...
At a team-building event with her fellow believers, Xia Youshan gets carried away.
“Yes, yes, we’re going to have a child.”
That night, someone knocks on her door.
The deity, so beautiful it’s impossible to tell whether they’re male or female, stands outside.
Their lashes lowered, they look at their stunned follower and ask, “I’ve developed a womb like yours. So, will you carry this child, or will I?”
Note:
There’s a mountain of original worldbuilding.
This is not a world exclusively of women, though most characters are women. There are a few male supporting characters.
The pursuer is somewhat nonhuman. At first, they don’t even have a gender, but choose to become a woman because of the pursued lead. This is a celebration of women, inspired by a divine saying: “Girls are the greatest creatures in the world.”
Sweet, doting romance, one-on-one.
If you like it, add it to your favorites.
Theme: Love saves you from the abyss.
[Purple Sugar] I read kswl overnight. It's so good. The story of the eldest princess is heartbreaking. I have to say that these are the background of this character. I really didn't want to read the book review at first. I was also afraid of the vision bg, but luckily I didn't have it. Tough and cold character is not unique to men, and isn't this just a way to protect yourself? The if line allows readers to see a scene where nothing bad has happened. Xiao Yuan's wanton and unrestrained life is in line with the character in the later part of the book. As one of the protagonists of this book, Jiang Lingzhi is told from her perspective. She is brave and resourceful, and does not wrong herself. She survives in this cannibal palace and wins a chance for herself. Her several escapes reflect her passion for freedom. To be honest, at the beginning, when Jiang Lingzhi didn't love Xiao Yuan, I really wanted them to be. It was so sad to watch. Love is so difficult. You run away and I chase her. But fortunately, she showed her feelings. Xiao Yuan's change in her lover is understandable. Jiang Lingzhi also has deep feelings for Mrs. Jiang. This is destined to be difficult.
This book is not limited to love. In addition to the fate and hardships of their love, I also saw their persistence in the justice of the country. Both poor families and aristocratic families have evils, but there are also good things. There is no need to be obsessed with anything. Their great love made me feel as if there were really two women who fell in love in ancient times. Although some plots are too dreamy, and reality rarely has such deep love. They pursue people with all their own means, but this beauty makes people fantasize. The moment I read it, I really felt that the author was not finished. Maybe we attach great importance to the issue of women's purity in our hearts, but as for men, maybe we are all bound by our thoughts. It's not that women cannot be unclean, but the reason why they are unclean depends on it. I was reading book reviews and saw some people arguing. They were all female videos. Can't you love the heroine well? Why insist on this? Besides, the heroine in the book stayed clean after entering the palace. This is inevitable. It is inevitable to use historical figures as prototypes. I think it is difficult for women under patriarchy. I think it is enough for them to be good afterward.
Finally, if someone can accept that it is not very old-fashioned, it would be good to read this book. I have ordered a few of them in full. Hahaha [covering my face and peeking]. The literary talent is also good. It seems that it is not the current casual writing, without vocabulary, and it is just for the sake of sweetness. I can't read it, but this is not the case. The language is just right. It will not make people feel embarrassed. I have the patience to read it, and my mood will change for them. I couldn't help crying at the end, although it was only a little, but it was really touching. [Crying] It's not easy [Hug] This is the first time I have written a review with so many words. It's just my personal opinion. If you are interested in reading it, you don't have to quit because of other people's words (unless it's a matter of principle). Anyway, a few of them are free. Let's give it a try. This book is generally very good [Red Heart]
In fact, when I first saw the comments saying that Xiao had a relationship with the previous emperor, I really wanted to give up the article, but I followed the author for two articles before. The author wrote very well, it was pure love, and the characters were well created, so I continued reading until the end, and I was not disappointed. The author wrote it very well. Xiao was forced and had no emotional connection with the former emperor. I think it is acceptable. Without this experience, Xiao would not be the Xiao he is now, and the story would not be this story. Thank you to the author for being willing to write such an article and present a good story.
Great, the if lines are great
Finishing the last chapter of "Sahua" is still sweet and reassuring. It was so sweet that I irritably replied to the message from the student's parents while looking at the article in awe, and then when I saw Zhizhi said it was okay at the end, I was so sweet that I punched the air randomly [Hands together][Hands together]
It's over. Only I know the sadness of following this journey (bushi)
I finished reading it in one sitting yesterday. When I read the text, I guessed that there might be quarrels, but don't worry about it at all. The novel does not have to be a vacuum, and it is even more ridiculous to criticize it for the so-called "double cleanliness" and "retention". Support creators unconditionally, just output freely, and boldly use your works to screen readers.
Congratulations on the completion, see you next time.
Finished spreading flowers 🎉Looking forward to the following extra episodes, and also looking forward to the follow-up new articles [Come on] [Come on]
Thanks for writing this type of article! [Poor] [Poor] [Poor] I like this book very much! ! It's been a long time since I've been so diligent in following updates [please] [please] [please] [please] Congratulations on the successful completion! ! I wish you a happy life~~[Come on][Come on][Come on]
This book is really well written. At first I couldn't understand that the protagonist did not stop such a cruel emperor. In the end, I just thought it was a good thing that the emperor didn't kill all those aristocratic families. I feel very sorry for this pair of little bitter gourds. I have actually read the introduction to this book no less than three or four times, but I closed it every time and did not dare to read it. I finished reading it in one sitting yesterday, 😭 I feel sorry for these little bitter gourds
