[Demon Slayer] Giyu's Modern Life

In the modern city, shadows breed and evil spirits return. Giyu Tomioka, the current Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, unexpectedly saves the young master Giyu, a wealthy boy living in a castle, and gets roped into letting him follow him back to the dorm.

"Young Master Giyu, my place is pretty bare. It only has bunk beds," says Sabito.

"You take the bottom bunk, and I'll take the top." The young master's logic is simple and direct.

But that very night, because "climbing up is too much trouble," the pampered young master naturally squeezes into Sabito's bed and falls asleep beside him, breathing softly and evenly.

From then on, Sabito's life has one sweet new complication.

By day, Giyu is a promising new star on the Rikkai University Junior High tennis team, personally reminded by Captain Yukimura: "Tomioka, don't forget about next week's match."

By night, he grips the wooden sword Sabito made especially for him and practices the movements of the Breathing Style beneath the moonlight, his gaze as sharp as a blade drawn from its sheath.

"Young master, your tennis club friends are here again." Sabito looks at the figure refusing to leave the training grounds and reminds him for the umpteenth time, helplessly.

Giyu simply looks up at him with the blue eyes Sabito can't resist. "Will you come watch my match?"

"...All right." Sabito is defeated.

From then on, the Water Hashira's daily life becomes watching the young master dazzle everyone with his tennis by day (and occasionally drive Sanada up the wall), then slay the city's demons alongside him at night. The Giyu Tomioka everyone sees as aloof and taciturn gradually sheds his shell, revealing a completely different kind of sharpness within.

Genichiro Sanada (scowling): But the moment he opens his mouth, he drives me up the wall.

Sanemi Shinazugawa (irritable): Same here.

Reader's guide:

1. The entire Demon Slayer Corps hunts demons in the modern era. Think of it as a parallel universe. The Boss in this parallel universe may not be Muzan.

2. Dutiful current Water Hashira Sabito x wealthy young master and tennis star Giyu. The pairing is not reversed.

3. A crossover with Prince of Tennis, Detective Conan, Gintama, Natsume's Book of Friends, and others. I'll throw in whatever ideas come to mind.
