What’s Wrong with Being a Male Calico Cat?!

Yu Le is a small-time streamer whose beast form is a male calico cat.

As a straight-as-an-arrow cat, his dream is to find a cute cat wife who will cuddle with him.

But he's so tiny that he has never been able to find a partner.

To find love, he signs up for the most popular beastfolk dating show and does his best to show off his charm.

Sure enough, on the first night, his selection box is stuffed full.

Yu Le celebrates inwardly: This is in the bag!

But when he opens it...

Yu Le: Why are they all males?! (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

-

The cold, ruthless snow leopard commander stuffs him with a starship medal, the highest honor there is.

Yu Le's eyelid twitches:

So what? Can I trade it for dried fish??

The top-tier star, a white peacock, unfailingly displays his plumage at Yu Le's window every day, leaving feathers all over the ground.

Yu Le silently calls the building manager:

...I'd like to report noise and littering.

Even the red fox psychologist has filled his notebook with observations about Yu Le.

Yu Le clutches his head in despair:

Aren't you an observer? What the heck are you picking someone for?!

Later, Yu Le discovers that his clothes keep disappearing, the catnip body wash he likes is always being borrowed, and even the terrace where he naps has become a spot people need to claim in advance for observation...

Yu Le has had enough:

Look carefully! I'm a male! A male!!

Are you all blind?!

-

When the show airs, Yu Le becomes inexplicably famous.

Comments:

The calico girl is so cute~

I'm here to see my adorable daughter!

Look at me, daughter ><

Yu Le: Who's your daughter?! I'm a male calico!

Fans: So you're our boy-daughter~

The shippers argue endlessly, too.

Until one day, someone asks him about it during a livestream. Yu Le rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, right. I'm not choosing any of them!"

Just kidding! I'm a die-hard straight cat. Why would I date a male??

Before he can finish speaking, a huge silver-gray tail reaches into the frame, loosely wraps around his waist, and pulls him into its owner's arms.

The big snow leopard's deep voice sounds through the livestream: "Mm. Stop asking. He's not choosing anyone."

The comments freeze for an instant, then explode.

In the second before the livestream cuts off, the sound of a calico cat paw smacking a leopard's head can still be heard, bang bang bang.

"Let go of me! I told you not to come on camera... What are you doing?!"
