Radiant Splendor

This is the ninth book in the Astonishing and Unparalleled Love series. The heroine is Liu Qingjing, empress to Zhezong of the Northern Song dynasty, Zhao Xu.

Among the countless emperors and empresses in Chinese history, Zhao Xu and Liu Qingjing's love was unquestionably one of the most profound. This is clear from the bold declaration in Zhao Xu's decree appointing Liu Qingjing as empress: “If not her, who could be empress?” No other decree appointing an empress in the historical records contains such an unabashed declaration and such commanding sincerity...

Readers can tell from the decree appointing the empress, quoted in this book's introduction, that the story is highly faithful to official history and will deepen their understanding of the Northern Song's factional struggles. At the same time, the ultimate union of Zhao Xu and Liu Qingjing, in both body and soul, will move readers...

Many readers agree that Zhao Xu was the most handsome emperor of the Northern Song. Even more remarkable, this handsome emperor was devoted to one woman! Female readers may enjoy imagining themselves in Liu Qingjing's place. Fortunately, Liu Qingjing's nature is much like that of a modern woman, and she is even more independent than many modern women, making her easy for contemporary readers to relate to. Because Liu Qingjing lived with such freedom and confidence, and because her name evokes the clarity of water and the splendor of trees, this book is titled Abundant Radiance. May this story bring readers the same vibrant energy as Liu Qingjing!
