Love That Came Too Late

This is the eighth book in the "Astonishing and Extraordinary Favorites" series. The heroine is Zhen Xin, the one and only Han Chinese empress in the history of the Liao Dynasty.

According to historical records, when Empress Zhen of Liao first met the Liao emperor Yelu Ruan, she was forty-one by traditional reckoning, while Yelu Ruan was twenty-nine. They were a couple with an age gap of one full zodiac cycle, and from different ethnic groups as well. It's hard not to wonder how they sparked a romance! I believe this book's portrayal will be captivating...

Nowadays, being single at forty is already considered getting on in years. In ancient times, when people generally married young, it must have been even more so. And in both ancient and modern times, most women's looks begin to fade after forty. Yet the heroine of this book manages to attract the Liao emperor, who is twelve years younger than she is. What is it about her that makes her so charming? This book will provide the answer. At the same time, the author hopes that the story of Empress Zhen of Liao will encourage and inspire older single women!
