The Medical Adjutant Has Overstepped Her Rank [GB]

An A who just wants to focus on research and is sick of the world x an energetic, uninhibited O pretending to be an A, both serving as generals

When his transfer orders came through, 22-year-old Lieutenant Lothier became medical adjutant to General Silas, an admiral in the Third Military District. It was a good posting, much safer than a medical ship on the front lines, and Lothier was quite satisfied.

For an Alpha fresh out of military academy, the chance to serve directly as an adjutant to a general was too good to pass up.

Then on his very first day as medical adjutant, Lieutenant Lothier filed a transfer request.

General Silas's response: Denied. Lieutenant Lothier, are you having trouble adjusting to the job?

Lothier: ...Reporting, sir. Your gland condition is too complicated. A more experienced doctor should be responsible for your care.

If he stayed on as the general's adjutant, his future would be over.

Because General Silas wasn't an Alpha at all! He was an Omega pretending to be an Alpha!

If his identity was exposed, Silas had a distinguished military record and the rank of general, so he might not be done for. But as the medical adjutant, Lothier was sure to end up before a military court!

Silas: But you've already marked me. As an Alpha, shouldn't you take responsibility?

Take responsibility?

For what?

General Silas: I think about your pheromones day and night.

Lothier: ...Sir, please restrain yourself.

Now he remembered. In his first year at medical school on Central Star, Lothier had given a temporary mark to an Omega officer in heat... But it was only a temporary mark. Did Silas really need to remember it for so long?

Lieutenant Lothier, shocked: Wait, your official identity was an Omega back then. How did you become an Alpha now?

Silas, looking innocent: Pretending to be an Omega was a mission. Pretending to be an Alpha is my job.

Lothier: Then what are you really?

Silas: Me? I'm just an Omega who fell in love with you at first sight: your pheromones, your marking skills, and you yourself.

Lothier: Understood, sir. I'll request a psychiatric consultation right away.
